University of Hertfordshire
The University of Hertfordshire is one of the most successful and popular of the new universities. It has 23,000 students, many of whom are resident in St. Peter’s parish. Indeed, the church is situated just across the road from the Bishops Rise entrance to the College Lane campus. All students will find a warm welcome in the parish and are invited to join us for Mass and any of the parish activities.
As well as being parish priest of St. Peter’s, Fr. Mark is also a member of the Chaplaincy Team at the University and Chaplain to the University Catholic Society.
CathSoc
CathSoc is a student society recognised by the Students’ Union. Working in conjunction with Fr. Mark, the Committee provide a full range of spiritual, social and teaching events. It exists principally to give Catholic members of the University the support and fellowship they need, but all are welcome. Feel free to visit Fr. Mark at St. Peter’s at any time or to make contact with the Committee members. See the Society’s uhcathsoc Website for full details.
Chaplaincy Team
Based in the Key Centre on the College Lane Campus, the Chaplaincy Team exists to serve the spiritual needs of University members of all faiths. The Mass is offered in the Key Centre at 1.10 pm on Wednesdays in term time.
